Sponsor Focus: B&Q

B&Q at Blogtacular 2014

As one of our first sponsors B&Q made an impact with bloggers.

Showcasing their upcoming campaigns and making strong contacts their stand was filled with bloggers painting, planting and discussing partnerships.

This is what they have to say about working with Blogtacular:

“Blogtacular was a great opportunity for us meet bloggers face to face and find out more about their upcoming projects and content.  This has enabled us to refine how we work with bloggers and to tailor our outreach activity, with far greater results.

Bloggers play an important role in our Social Media strategy, offering creative and authentic ways to share our brand stories with their audiences and at the Blogtacular event  we met a range of bloggers who have become great collaborators with our brand.”

Sponsor Focus: West Elm

West Elm have sponsored a number of different activities at Blogtacular.

The West Elm Photowalk celebrated the streets of London. Images from the photowalk hashtag alone gathered more than 23,400 likes on Instagram and a timeline delivery of over a million.

“Blogtacular places your brand in front of some of the most creative, up and coming content creators the UK has to offer all wrapped into one very inspirational day.

As a brand new to the UK market, the conference offered the opportunity to build crucial new relationships with an audience who are there to learn, be inspired and most importantly offer insight in to what content works for them and their readers.

It helped set the stage for our success in partnership content creation for the year!”

As well as an on site photobooth & printing station West Elm hosted the Blogtacular Pintacular in association with Pinterest UK in 2015, the Paper Maker Party alongside Sudoapp in 2016 and the Big Discussion Night in 2017 all at their flagship Tottenham Court store.

Bringing people together within the store gave attendees an opportunity to interact with West Elm and discover what they had to offer.

Thomson chose Blogtacular to deliver key outreach in their campaigns. With influencers pitching ideas to the team they were able to implement a long term strategy of outreach activity.

Sponsoring Blogtacular was both a rewarding and fun experience.

In year one, we made well over 100 blogging outreach contacts – as well sharing best practice with other business sponsors at the event.

In year two, we really upped our game in terms of creativity order to connect with the bloggers at the conference.

Kat and the guys at Blogtacular really helped us here – advertising our ‘search for a travel blogger’ idea through their own social channels and even streaming a live Q&A about the pitching processing. Also, logistically, Blogtacular made setting up for the event a breeze – liaising with us on everything from widths of doors at the venue to PA announcements on the day. Let’s just say it made creating a replica interior of a 787 Dreamliner a piece of cake.

Thanks to Blogtacular, we’ve been able to produce some outstanding blogger-curated content under the #OutOfOffice banner.

The quality of content pitched by our bloggers was so high that Thomson was able to extend their activities and serve wider objectives within the business.

Innovation from the Blogtacular community opened up new angles for the outreach programme and this continues over a year later.

  • Do you need an afternoon off? A bit of time to chat to your creative contemporaries? And dim sum? US TOO!

Join us for a feast on 27th April. We’re having a get together, a chinwag, letting our hair down and basking in the the glow of great company. Once we’ve feasted, let’s head out for a bit of photo fun because we know one lunch won’t be long enough to get everything off our chests.
We’re calling it the F*ck Brexit Lunch because we’re sick of the endless purgatory that hangs around like a fart in a lift.
Spaces are limited, link it in profile, hope to see you there! #blogtacular

  • There have been a lot of posts about the press release from the CMA this week. Lots of them about ‘new’ influencer posting rules, some of them inaccurate or misleading. Have you heard something that worries you? We’re always happy to share knowledge and point you in the right direction so please ask if you need clarification.
You know we’re big supporters of following the rules and clearly disclosing at the beginning of posts - it’s the only way to cement our reputation as an industry committed to transparency. But, as with all rules getting to grips with them isn’t always plain sailing. Our podcast episode 36 is a masterclass from the ASA themselves in how to keep your ads, gifts and products clear online. #blogtacular
