Lucy Nicholls

Social Media Content Producer & Blogger - Shiny Thoughts

As Social Media Content Producer by day, blogger by night, Lucy knows a thing or two about the world of Influencer Marketing. Her unique perspective on both sides of the social media fence has landed her careers at ASOS and Boden and seen her work with countless brands via her social channels, hold her own events and sit on various Influencer Marketing panels.

Whilst at ASOS, Lucy managed #AccessallASOS – the community of over 1,500 Influencers – bringing into fruition a whole host of successful projects and events with partners ranging from Coppafeel to Adidas. With an additional 2 years at ASOS’s Fashion Finder, she understood the fashion blogging community inside-out.

After being scouted by Boden for her social media position, Lucy has since worked on large projects including Bloom & Wild’s #SpringBloomsTour and Birchbox’s Boden box plus on-boarded an army of new Influencers into the Boden Blogger family.

As her blog ShinyThoughts turns 8, Lucy is sharing her years of experience and knowledge by shifting her Blogging focus to include advice on working with bloggers and brands as well as publishing the colourful and high quality, travel, fashion and lifestyle posts she’s so well known for.

A pioneer for authentic, genuine and quality content in a world of hacks, bots and pay-as-you-go followers, Lucy actively supports her community. Her personal projects include co-founding The Bloggers Market and Social Girls (a network for lifestyle Social Media Managers) plus mentoring professional bloggers.

Lucy will be talking about brand partnerships. From pitch to post, Lucy will help you stand out as a valuable partner.

  • Do you need an afternoon off? A bit of time to chat to your creative contemporaries? And dim sum? US TOO!

Join us for a feast on 27th April. We’re having a get together, a chinwag, letting our hair down and basking in the the glow of great company. Once we’ve feasted, let’s head out for a bit of photo fun because we know one lunch won’t be long enough to get everything off our chests.
We’re calling it the F*ck Brexit Lunch because we’re sick of the endless purgatory that hangs around like a fart in a lift.
Spaces are limited, link it in profile, hope to see you there! #blogtacular

  • There have been a lot of posts about the press release from the CMA this week. Lots of them about ‘new’ influencer posting rules, some of them inaccurate or misleading. Have you heard something that worries you? We’re always happy to share knowledge and point you in the right direction so please ask if you need clarification.
You know we’re big supporters of following the rules and clearly disclosing at the beginning of posts - it’s the only way to cement our reputation as an industry committed to transparency. But, as with all rules getting to grips with them isn’t always plain sailing. Our podcast episode 36 is a masterclass from the ASA themselves in how to keep your ads, gifts and products clear online. #blogtacular
