Kayte Ferris

Blogger, Writer, Content and Social Marketing Consultant - Simple & Season

Kayte’s is a blogger, writer, photo-taker, she is also an award winning professional in-house marketer and a content and social marketing consultant.

On her blog, Simple & Season, Kayte writes about simple, slow living, for those who still need to work the 9-5 and live in a rented terrace, rather than the dream farmhouse. Following a holiday epiphany, Simple & Season came about as way for Kayte to discover easy and fun ways to embrace a more wholesome life, and crucially fitting it around a chaotic career.

She is a firm believer in the use of consumerism for good not evil – in supporting independent stores, consuming local, seasonal food and directing money into pockets who need it more. Her consulting business was built to use marketing to drive this force for good consumerism, helping brilliant independent businesses gain the exposure and sales they need.

Kayte will be running a marketing workshop based on solid marketing principles which can be put into action for both blog and business. Designed especially for people feeling lost and overwhelmed, Kayte’s workshop will completely underwhelm you (in a really good way!).

  • There have been a lot of posts about the press release from the CMA this week. Lots of them about ‘new’ influencer posting rules, some of them inaccurate or misleading. Have you heard something that worries you? We’re always happy to share knowledge and point you in the right direction so please ask if you need clarification.
You know we’re big supporters of following the rules and clearly disclosing at the beginning of posts - it’s the only way to cement our reputation as an industry committed to transparency. But, as with all rules getting to grips with them isn’t always plain sailing. Our podcast episode 36 is a masterclass from the ASA themselves in how to keep your ads, gifts and products clear online. #blogtacular
