Ike Sikuade

Business Consultant and CEO - Showerella

A former city banker, Ike makes a living as a business consultant and CEO of Showerella. Showerella is a British e-commerce brand that makes party products for celebrating new life chapters – whether that’s having a new baby, graduation or new job. A portion of every purchase is used to fund projects that help girls who are facing various struggles to enter into their own chapter of happiness and empowerment.

Ike studied at the Royal College of Art on their prestigious MA Global Innovation Design program which took her around the world – New York, Tokyo, Brisbane – to learn design from the very best. She has worked on a variety of design projects through her career including brand identities, logos, blog layouts, packaging, wedding stationery, UX and web graphics. Ike knows first hand that it is never too late to learn new skills and believes that with the right tools, everyone can learn to design. Ike blogs at Ike’s Notes.

Ike will be hosting a workshop on Adobe Illustrator. Learn how to use this powerful design tool to create design elements and documents for your site which will det you apart. It may seem like an imtimidating tool but once you understand the basics you will find yourself creating with ease.

  • There have been a lot of posts about the press release from the CMA this week. Lots of them about ‘new’ influencer posting rules, some of them inaccurate or misleading. Have you heard something that worries you? We’re always happy to share knowledge and point you in the right direction so please ask if you need clarification.
You know we’re big supporters of following the rules and clearly disclosing at the beginning of posts - it’s the only way to cement our reputation as an industry committed to transparency. But, as with all rules getting to grips with them isn’t always plain sailing. Our podcast episode 36 is a masterclass from the ASA themselves in how to keep your ads, gifts and products clear online. #blogtacular
