Goody Bag Design Competition - Blogtacular

2018 Goody Bag Design Competition

When we hand out a goody bag, we want you to want to use it until it falls apart.

Every year we invite an indie designer(s) to create something fun for our attendees to take home. We love to celebrate the talent of the design community and put their work into the hands of our influencers. In 2017 we held our first goody bag design competition to open up the opportunity to all designers.

Once again we are throwing open the floor and inviting you to pitch your designs. We want to find something spectacular for our bags and showcase the talent of indie designers.

Our panel of judges is made up designers whose work has featured on past goody bags. Together with Blogtacular they will whittle down the entries to one winning design.

The winning designer (or designers, details below) will receive a full ticket to Blogtacular 2018 as part of their prize. As the level of entries has been so high we also offer a runner up prize whose design will appear on the cover of the conference notebooks.

Did you receive my email?

Assuming you got our acknowledgement and no error messages then yes, it’s safe and sound in our inbox.

When will I hear if I succeeded?

The judging process takes about a month, we hope to notify all entrants by mid-April.

Can I share my design before the conference?

No, we keep our goody bag design and designer top secret until the event. We will share the judges’ picks of the runners up on our blog but until then the winning designs must be top secret.

Can I submit more than one design?

No, entries are limited to one design.

Can I submit a design I’ve used elsewhere?

While we’re happy to have echos of your work in your entry we would prefer your submission to be an entirely unique design.

How will the judges stay impartial if they know some of the entrants?

We know the online and design community can seem small at times. When the shortlist is formed, the judges will receive the neutral image from your entry (see requirements above).

  • We love to showcase indie business at Blogtacular and give them the same space opportunity as big brands to connect with bloggers at conferences. You’ve met the goody bag contributors and now let me introduce our 2018 Market Place! We were joined by five indies all of whom were showing and selling their products at the conference. The whole space was buzzing with Yuk Fun, Notes Beauty, The Fabric Fox, South Island Art and Capture by Lucy Backdrops all showing at the conference. #blogtacular
  • We pride ourselves on how smoothly Blogtacular runs and it wouldn’t be possible without this team of wonderful people. Dora has been working with us over the last couple of months to plan the event, Sarah & Claudia have been with us since the very first event streamlining the customer experience and operations, Momtaz & Natasha joined us for a second year to host rooms alongside Alex who took on our third room this year and Hannah joined the ops team alongside Mr Kat to make sure everything was where it was meant to be. We are so grateful to our team for giving up their time, energy and ideas to make our conference the best it can be. #blogtacular
  • Holy moly - what an incredible event! We filled two days with colour, fun, friendship and so much learning. Huge thanks to everyone who came to the conference and everyone who worked so hard to make it a truly exceptional event. You really are what gives Blogtacular its spirit and the reason we’ve loved every minute of all five conferences. Over the next few days we’ll be sharing moments from the conference and some exciting news for future events but for now, we’re going to bask in the happy glow of your positive energy! #blogtacular .
