The Blogtacular 2018 was our fifth annual conference filled with learning, making connections, light bulb moments, fun and photos in the heart of London. Bloggers, creative entrepreneurs and corporate companies came from across the UK, Europe and the USA to spend two days soaking up inspiration, meeting online friends in the real world and creating plans for their futures.
It was such a jam packed 48 hours made possible by so many contributors, here’s what happened and who made it possible.

The event began on Friday 15th June with 3 simultaneous photo walks around London. Photowalks have been part of Blogtacular from the very first event and are a great way to get to know conference delegates in advance in an informal relaxed atmosphere as well as exploring parts of the City and creating beautiful images.
The photo walks were led by Supal Desai who hosted an experience afternoon at the stunning Portobello Hotel. The Portobello Hotel opened their sumptuous interiors to our bloggers to create self portraits and travel images. Delegates were treated to afternoon tea and insight into how the hotel works with influencers. We couldn’t be more grateful to our generous hosts.

Natasha Nuttall guided a walk through from Islington to Camden with an essential stationery pit-stop at Present & Correct.

Emma Jane Palin jumped on a train heading south with her walk to explore the colourful glory of Peckham and everything it has to offer.

Friday evening was spent getting to know each other at intimate dinners around London, giving delegates the chance to spend some time together and chat at length before diving into the main event.
16th June was the main conference held at etc Venues St Paul’s. The team at our venue from the chefs to the AV are all exceptional. They create the environment for us to have the best possible event each year and we couldn’t be happier with the service.

Our speakers were treated to a signature Tatty Devine Name Necklace as their speaker gift.

This year’s Market Place was a mixture of indie businesses including The Fabric Fox, Notes Beauty, South Island Art, Yuk Fun and Capture by Lucy

The Amazing photo wall was created by Jacqueline Colley in collaboration with G. F. Smith Colorplan Papers. Each leaf and flower was hand cut and scored before being mounted on the backing paper – no small feat but the outcome was incredible to behold.

Mollie Makes for printed our programmes which were designed by Fanni at Superfly Creative alongside the graphics for the whole conference online and on site.

Our opening keynote was a creative pep talk from Tiffany Han who reminded us that we should not deny the world our work. The conference was closed by Anthony Burrill who after teasing us that he might strip took us through a history of type in protest and how he has made a creative life.

Our speakers and creative genius bar all went over and above on providing exceptional value, insight and practical information that people can put into action for their blog or business. They worked tirelessly to bring the best workshops and advice to Blogtacular and we’re so lucky that we get to work with such an inspiring group of professionals within our industry.

Blogtacular wouldn’t be what it is without you, the hardworking bloggers and entrepreneurs who choose to invest in yourself and your future by coming to the event. By picking us you ensure that we’re able to bring everything we do to a wide market.
It takes a huge amount of work to create and execute this unique day. There are months of meetings, brainstorming, emails and tears that go into making it what it is. On the day it’s our team who bring the vision to life and we couldn’t create such a well run event without the volunteers who join us to decorate, direct, hand out, announce and everything else that we do to make your experience the best it can be.
This year, we give our thanks to Sarah, Claudia, Dan, Alex, Hannah, Momtaz and Natasha who all volunteerd with us in 2018 as well as Dora who works with Kat year round to ensure nothing is missed.

The Blogtacular conference you have seen over the past 5 years will be taking a fallow year in 2019, and you can expect to see smaller targeted events from us throughout the rest of 2018 and into 2019 the first of which will be launched on email today and publicly next week.
