Heather Young is a freelance interiors journalist and blogger. She is a design obsessive, craft junkie and mother of twins.

She started her career in 2002 at Kitchens, Bedrooms & Bathrooms magazine. She joined Ideal Home as Deputy Interiors Editor in 2007 and became Interiors Editor in 2008.

Since going freelance in 2010 Heather has worked on a range of projects including: Editor of Tesco’s Home magazine, Acting Editor of Style At Home magazine, Blogs Edito at iMama.tv 2010 – 2012, Editor of Ideal Home’s Complete Guide To Christmas 2012 and 2013, Editor of various special projects at IPC Media Ltd including 50+ Dream Rooms, 50+ Christmas Crafts (2013) and 50+ Decorating Ideas (2014).

She began blogging at Young and Younger in 2009 to document her family life and launched Growing Spaces in 2011 to share her passion for interiors. In 2014 she will be taking the family on the road for a European tour before the children start school.

Heather spends most of her time juggling freelance work and blogging.
