Cathy James

Blogger - Nurture Store

Cathy James writes the children’s resource blog NurtureStore – a site that’s packed with thousands of ideas for kids’ activities, hands-on learning and creative play. She stared blogging when she was at home with her young children, sharing recipes for homemade play dough and seasonal arts and crafts. Her site has grown to become the family business and is read by millions of parents worldwide.

If she’s not sat at the kitchen table crafting with her kids, or at the allotment running her Garden Classroom projects, she most likely chatting with her readers on NurtureStore’s Facebook page, where she has a following of over 145,000. She also produces a free Play Planner which delivers a weekly inspiration of play ideas to over 20,000 families and teachers each Sunday.

Cathy runs a publishing company alongside her blog, specialising in parent and education resources. She writes her own ebooks, and edits, publishes and markets collaborative works by other bloggers. She has a print book coming out with Roost Books next year, and writes regularly for BabyCentre.
