Goody Bag Competition 2017 Finalists

Blogtacular Goody Bag designed by Judy Andrews

Each year we invite a different designer to create the goody bag for our annual conference. We want you to use and love our goody bags after the event and choosing a designer who can create something you’d want to own is one of our favourite planning stages.

In the past our bags have been designed by Zeena Shah, Nikki McWilliams, Hello DODO and DesignosaurYEAH. For 2017 we did something a little different, we opened up entries to everyone and ran our first ever design competition.

The inspiration behind opening a competition was to allow people who we wouldn’t have discovered on our own the opportunity to design the bags. As the entries poured in we were overwhelmed by the talent and creativity of our community. The entries were shortlisted and sent to our past goody bag designers who judged the competition and decided on the winner. The short list was so strong that the judges chose two runners-up whose designs were turned into the conference notebooks.

Of course we couldn’t keep this much goodness secret and so we’re sharing the full shortlist with you.

And finally our winning design. Judy’s My Tribe Love My Vibe was a favourite with the judges from the beginning. Here’s what Jam and Alis had to say:

Our reason for picking ‘My Tribe Love My Vibe’ as the winning bag design is because we feel it is bold in both design and message, a totally empowering statement which completely sums up Blogtacular for us. Also, it rhymes! So extra bonus points!

– Ali & Jam Beale, Hello DODO

Judy’s design was so strong that we hired her to design the programmes and the 2017 conference identity. We were thrilled to extend our partnership with Judy and take the conference design to the next level.
